What 𪿥 means
It writes Vietnamese mài, “to grind.”
Chữ Nôm was the historical Vietnamese writing system, adapting Chinese characters to write Vietnamese. This graph joins 石 (“stone”) with 枚, a sound cue for Vietnamese mai. Béhaine’s dictionary of 1772/1773 writes mài as 埋 in “Chí công mài sắt chầy ngày nên kim” (“With persistence, iron can be ground into a needle”). Theurel’s northern Vietnamese dictionary from 1877 records another wording: “có công mài sắt có ngày nên kim.” The spelling 𪿥 also appears in Truyện Kiều, a narrative poem; Lý Hạng Ca Dao, a folk-poetry collection; and a proverb book around 1914.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𪿥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
