What 𫄶 means
The older form 繦 names the cord in a baby carrier.
An early Chinese character dictionary explains 繦 through a sturdy silk cord. Classical Chinese citations use it for stringing cash and for the cord on a woven baby carrier. In 襁褓, the wrap itself also came to stand for infancy. Dictionaries list 𫄶 as a form of 繦 simplified by following a pattern used for other characters.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𫄶 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
