What 𫇺 means
It writes a Zhuang word for “throat” or “hoarse.”
The 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary lists it under gyangz. Sawndip adapts Chinese character shapes to write Zhuang. A stone inscription dated 682 shows the script in use, but does not date this glyph; scholars differ on when the script formed.
Was 𫇺 used as a short form of 藏?
Yes, as a short form in a withdrawn draft.
A 1981 revision questionnaire lists it among three forms then used for 藏. It proposed 䒙 as the most common; the State Council withdrew the scheme in 1986. Standard simplified Chinese still uses 藏.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𫇺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
