What 𫋧 means
Unicode’s source record links this exact Sawndip character to page 212, entry 1 of the 1989 Dictionary of Old Zhuang Characters (《古壮字字典》). The book documents an older character-based way to write Zhuang speech.
By the Tang dynasty, some writers were combining parts of Chinese characters to represent Zhuang words and sounds. By the Southern Song, accounts describe this writing in local petitions and contracts. It also recorded religious texts, folk songs, stories, plays, family records and place names.
