What 𫎛 means
A rare form of 貾, the name for a patterned shell.
Despite its title “Explaining Fish,” 《爾雅·釋魚》 also lists shells. 《爾雅》 was assembled between the Warring States period and the early Han dynasty. A traditional note explains the shell's yellow ground and white markings; the paired name 餘泉 reverses the colors.
