What 𫏻 means
It marks what comes after, including a future time.
Chữ Nôm took shape between the 10th and 12th centuries as writers adapted Chinese characters to record Vietnamese speech. This graph combines 車 and 娄; a study of Cư Trần Lạc Đạo phú labels the pieces cư and lâu. Together they write sau.
Cư Trần uses it in từ trước nhẫn sau (“from before to after”), while Cổ Châu uses it in sau này (“later, in the future”). These examples show sau marking what follows in a sequence or a later time.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𫏻 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
