What 𫕮 means
It means an empty or hollow interior, and can also describe quiet.
The Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary compiled around 100 CE, glosses 廫 as “empty.” It analyzes the form as 广, a shelter component, plus 膠 for its sound. Later writing used 寥 for the same word.
A Tang-dynasty anthology (a literary collection) quotes an earlier Jin-dynasty poem: 寥寥空堂, “an empty hall.” A 2026 Hong Kong Cantonese note records 空撩撩 for a bare room, usually written 空寥寥.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𫕮 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
