What 𫖕 means
It refers to protective armwear used in archery.
The older form 韝 appears in the Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary completed around 100 CE; its entry defines it as clothing for an arm used in archery. Classical citations describe an archer’s protective sleeve.
𫖕 is recorded as an analogically simplified form of 韝. In a Qing-era annotation, scholar Duan Yucai also applies 韝 to sleeves worn on both arms for practical tasks. The related character 韘 names a different piece of archery gear: a thumb ring used to hold the bowstring.
