What 𫭫 means
They preserve it for two different words.
The Five Dynasties glossary 新集藏經音義隨函錄 explains rare words in Buddhist scriptures. It records 掃𫭫 and identifies 拭 (“wipe”) as the standard form. The Song-era collection 宏智禪師廣錄 preserves Buddhist teacher Hongzhi's sermons; there, 𫭫 appears in 窮通之𫭫 for 域 (“realm” or “domain”).
What if it appears in a Korean name?
Read it as part of the person's name.
A Korean literary collection published in 1827 lists 李𫭫 and gives 靖之 as the person's courtesy name, a traditional adult style-name. Here 𫭫 is part of a personal name, not a word to translate as “realm.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 𫭫 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
