What 𬎽 means
It writes Vietnamese dùng, the verb “to use.” Trần Văn Kiệm’s 2004 dictionary of Chữ Nôm characters records it in examples about meals, tea, and utensils.
Chữ Nôm adapted Chinese characters and their parts to write Vietnamese. It developed after Vietnam’s independence from China in 939; 12th-century inscriptions used Chữ Nôm for local names. Later it served literature, law, medicine, religion, and government before Quốc Ngữ gradually displaced it.
