What 𬷚 means
Its meaning depends on the language record and sentence. A Chinese character dictionary gives the Mandarin reading hóng and notes 𬷚 in Taiwanese personal names. A separate Korean gloss for 𬷚 equates it with 鸩, a legendary bird said to have poisonous feathers.
A Ming-era anthology, 《类隽》, quotes a book called 《术智琐言》, grouping 𬷚 with creatures credited with clever habits. Another Ming-era collection, 《彭氏类编杂说》, names 鸩 as poison in wine, then uses 𬷚 for the poison to be removed.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𬷚 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension E block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
