What 𬷺 means
𬷺 is a Japanese-made character for a hawk name. It is a kokuji, a character created in Japan for a Japanese word. References give the readings kumataka and ōtaka; kumataka is the mountain hawk-eagle, ordinarily written 熊鷹.
A Japanese character dictionary traces its “large hawk” gloss to Saikinbukuro, a linked-verse poetry book published in 1657.
Another Japanese dictionary writes kumataka as 角鷹. The records do not settle whether that and “large hawk” mean the same species.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𬷺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
