What 𭨅 means
In Zhuang, 𭨅 writes the word “star.”
Its reading is romanized ndeiq. Sawndip is the character-based way of writing Zhuang; local spellings vary.
Why does 𭨅 look like a Chinese character?
Sawndip adapted Chinese character forms to write Zhuang.
Writers borrowed characters for their sound or meaning and built others from their parts. Surviving evidence reaches at least 682: Zhuang forms appear in a stone inscription at Shanglin, Guangxi.
In 1175, the scholar Fan Chengda reported local use for legal petitions and contracts. A Latin-letter standard was created in 1955 and revised in the 1980s. The first Old Zhuang dictionary, published in 1989, drew examples from petitions, contracts, songs, stories, family records, letters, and inscriptions.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𭨅 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
