What 𭶫 means
One Chinese dictionary links it to 掐, the verb “to pinch.”
A Buddhist ritual text translated in 693 describes a hand pose; an annotation reads 𭶫 as the thumb’s first joint. A Chinese military manual from the Ming dynasty uses it while telling archers to fold the ring and little fingers into the palm.
Use the surrounding Chinese sentence; alone, this glyph leaves its reading unclear.
Do not assume every use means “pinch.”
