What 𭶮 means
It describes a person’s yellowed, gaunt appearance.
The Unicode reference glyph for 𭶮 matches 顲. The Shuowen Jiezi, a Chinese character dictionary completed around 100 CE, explains 顲 through 顑顲, a phrase for a sallow, gaunt appearance. It also glosses 顑 as the look of someone who has not eaten enough.
The 1716 Kangxi Dictionary records another sense of 顲然: taking on a changed facial color or expression. Unicode’s source reference links 𭶮 to the Taishō Buddhist canon, a Japanese collection of Buddhist scriptures printed in 1924–1934; that edition date belongs to the book, not the invention of the character.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
