What 𭹟 means
Here, 𭹟 is a variant form of 陶. The character is recorded in the Taishō edition, a Japanese publication of the Buddhist canon from 1924–1934. In a commentary by the Buddhist monk Kuiji on the Lotus Sutra, a note gives 桃𭹟, while other editions read 桃陶; the passage discusses alternate spellings for grapes. The SAT team proposed this rare printed character for Unicode encoding so digital texts could preserve it exactly.
