What 𮀖 means
Sawndip adapts Chinese forms to write Zhuang words.
Zhuang is a Tai language spoken mainly in Guangxi and nearby parts of southern China. Here, the graph stands for a Zhuang word, not a Mandarin reading.
What was Sawndip made for?
It gave Zhuang speakers a character script for their language.
Sawndip adapted Chinese characters and locally formed graphs to write Zhuang. Researchers generally date the script’s formation to the Tang period (618–907), though some argue for an earlier beginning and the evidence is sparse. Traditional texts include songs, stories, moral verse, casual notes, and ritual readings in local varieties. This history dates the wider script, not this individual spelling.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𮀖 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension F block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
