What 𮀝 means
Its Zhuang reading is rin, a word for stone or rock.
Sawndip, or square Zhuang writing, uses Chinese character shapes to write Zhuang.
𮀝 is one of several recorded forms for rin. The script appears on Tang-era stone inscriptions.
Why was 𮀝’s reference glyph changed?
Unicode 17.0 revised the chart sample to match a Chinese regional form.
The sample shows 身 (“body”) at the right, with a slanting stroke crossing 门 (“gate”). This changes the reference drawing, not the character in your text; your font draws the outline you see.
