What 𮆍 means
A rare Han character kept for a Buddhist canon text.
The University of Tokyo's SAT Daizōkyō Text Database lists the graph as USAT-04912 for the Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō, a printed collection of Buddhist scriptures in Chinese. The SAT project says it brought more than 2,800 previously unencoded characters from that text into Unicode 10 in 2017; this is one. That dates its digital standardization, not the graph's first appearance.
The source record identifies a character needed in a specific text collection, not a standalone gloss. Read its sense from the sentence where it appears.
Questions people ask
1Why does 𮆍 show as a box?
A box can be a display failure. The SAT Unicode 10 list warns that its web-font glyphs may not appear in unsupported browsers; the missing drawing does not by itself mean the text contains a different character.
