What 𮇃 means
𮇃 represents the Zhuang word caeuz (“dinner” or “evening meal”) in Sawndip. Though its form resembles a Han character, its reading here belongs to Zhuang.
Sawndip developed through local adaptations of Chinese character shapes and readings. Traditional Zhuang manuscripts use it for folk songs, ritual recitations, stories and informal notes. Some character readings suggest the script reached back to the early Tang period (the 600s); that dates the broader writing tradition, not necessarily 𮇃. This form is indexed in the 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary.
