What 𮇥 means
The readings belong to different writing traditions.
The 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary records 𮇥 for rice bran, the layer removed when rice is milled. It belongs to Sawndip, the traditional character system for Zhuang, a language distinct from Chinese; Sawndip adapts Chinese character forms and parts to write Zhuang words. An inscription from 682 documents the script’s early use, not this glyph’s age.
A 2010 Japanese dictionary of expressive kanji spellings lists 𮇥 as ateji for ハヤシライス (hayashi rice), a beef-and-onion stew served over rice. Ateji is an unusual kanji spelling for a word.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𮇥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
