What 𮇳 means
It records ngaiz, the Zhuang word for “meal.”
Zhuang is a Tai language spoken in southern China. Some dialects use ngaiz for “breakfast.” Linguists reconstruct Proto-Tai, an ancestor of Zhuang and related Tai languages, as *ŋaːjᴬ (“early meal”); related forms occur in Bouyei, Thai and Lao.
Why are there several Sawndip spellings?
Different writers used different characters for the same word.
Zhuang writers adapted Chinese-character forms to write their language. Its origins are debated; Tang-era inscriptions and Song-era records are early evidence for the wider script. Written uses include songs, ritual texts and contracts. The first Old Zhuang character dictionary (1989) collected over 10,700 characters and noted same-sound, same-meaning variants.

1Why does 𮇳 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
