Zhuang Script Character

4955/7473

𮈊 is a Sawndip character in the traditional script for Zhuang, a Tai language of southern China. Writers reused, reshaped, or combined Chinese character forms to write Zhuang words by sound or meaning. Some characters appear on a stone inscription from Guangxi, a region of southern China, dated 682; in 1175, Song writer Fan Chengda described Sawndip in petitions and contracts. The 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary records this form.
