What is Sawndip?
Sawndip is the older square-character script used to write Zhuang. Old Zhuang characters were in folk use from the Tang and Song periods onward.
Writers adapted Han Chinese character forms, sounds, and meanings to write Zhuang; regional forms varied instead of sharing one standard.
