What 𮍗 means
It preserves a graph from a specific source text. The Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō is an 85-volume Japanese edition of Buddhist scriptures, printed in 1924–1934. The team behind its online text database, SAT Daizōkyō, proposed previously unencoded Han characters from the collection for digital use; 𮍗 is one. That dates the printed edition, not necessarily the character’s first appearance.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𮍗 show as a box?
A font issue. As of 2026, the SAT character list warns that some browsers may not show its web font. Other apps also need a font that includes this CJK Extension F glyph; a box means the active font cannot draw it.
