What 𮎣 means
It refers to qǐ (芑), a historical plant name.
A Qing-era commentary on 采芑 (Cai qi), a poem in the Classic of Poetry (an early Chinese poetry collection), uses 𮎣 while discussing 芑, the plant name. It quotes a note attributed to Lu Ji: people in Qingzhou called the plant qǐ, and greens from Xihe and Yanmen were prized; their leaves could be eaten raw or cooked. The same Qing-era commentary compares it with bitter lettuce, white lettuce, and other greens, without settling on one modern species. Read it as an old plant name, not a precise botanical label.
Is 𮎣 the same character as 芭?
No. They look similar, but they are distinct characters.
Some Japanese kanji references list 𮎣 among characters resembling 芭. In the historical botanical passage, 𮎣 is used while discussing the qǐ plant; replacing it with 芭 changes the written character.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𮎣 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension F block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
