What 𮑮 means

It identifies a locality in the old regional record. 《穆天子传》 (The Tale of King Mu of Zhou) says King Mu rested at 𮑮泽; a local gazetteer identifies 濩泽 with the old marsh and county near Yangcheng.

Later accounts link the area to Shun, a legendary ruler, fishing. They disagree whether that marsh was 雷泽 (Leize, “Thunder Marsh”) or 濩泽, so the story’s location is contested.

Why does 𮑮 show as a box?

A font or app may lack a glyph for this supplementary character, so it can appear as a box or blank space. That display gap does not change the text character.
