What 𮓏 means
𮓏 is recorded as a form of 醒 in 悲華經, a Chinese Buddhist scripture. An addendum to 說文解字 (Shuowen Jiezi), an early Chinese character dictionary, glosses 醒 as “to recover from drunkenness.” The character also means waking from sleep or becoming clear-minded. In 醒, 酉 hints at wine and 星 supplies the sound; those parts describe 醒, not the distinctive shape of 𮓏.
A text-specific form associated with a Buddhist scripture; ordinary Chinese writing uses 醒.
