What 𮗙 means
A rare Han character preserved for a Buddhist text collection.
SAT is the text-database project for the Taishō Buddhist canon, an edited collection of Buddhist writings. It proposed this exact form for representing the collection; use it when reproducing a source that calls for 𮗙.
Why is one component rotated?
The rotation belongs to the character’s written form.
Unicode’s structure notes show 見 around a rotated 鬼. 見 is the Han character for “see,” while 鬼 means “ghost” or “spirit”; those are clues to the drawn parts, not a literal translation of 𮗙.

1Why might 𮗙 appear as a box?
It can happen when the browser’s font lacks the glyph. The SAT project’s Unicode 10.0 chart warns that browsers without its web font may not display this character; the text can still contain 𮗙.
