What 𮗩 means
It names a vessel in one record and building materials in others. Yang Xiong’s Han-dynasty dialect glossary 方言 (Fāngyán) lists 㼶 or 㼡 as local names for 罃, a jar, in the Chen, Wei, Song, and Chu region. A Qing-era reference writes 𮗩 for the first name, so the spellings vary by source.
The Song dynasty building manual Yingzao Fashi (營造法式) uses 𮗩瓦 in roof-tile instructions. A 1931 local gazetteer uses 𮗩瓦 as a name for 明瓦: translucent oyster-shell sheets fitted into windows in place of glass. Context changes the material.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𮗩 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
