What 𮗸 means
It is a variant form of 譏. In Mandarin Chinese, 譏 is pronounced jī and means to criticize, ridicule, or satirize; the standard mainland simplified form is 讥.
In older texts, 譏 can also mean to question or inspect people at a pass or market. The 1930 Register of Popular Character Forms Since the Song and Yuan, a catalogue of spellings in older printed works, records 𮗸 under 譏.
Was 𮗸 a Singapore simplified character?
Yes; Singapore used it as a local simplified form of 譏.
Singapore's table selected this older variant for traditional 譏, while mainland China used 讥. The two forms belong to different simplified-writing standards.
For standard Simplified Chinese, use 讥; in Traditional Chinese, use 譏.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𮗸 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension F block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
