What 𮙇 means
The Shuowen Jiezi, an early Chinese character dictionary completed around 100 CE, gives 讋 two meanings: “speech after losing one’s breath” and “speech that does not stop.”
It describes the construction as 言 (“speech”) plus a shortened 龖 that supplies the sound.
The Taiwan Ministry of Education’s 2021 Mandarin dictionary lists the fear sense. “Speech that does not stop” is the older dictionary meaning; use the surrounding passage to decide whether it fits.
