What 𮛋 means
It writes the Zhuang word fwngz, “hand.”
Old Zhuang (Sawndip) adapted Chinese characters to write Zhuang languages. It borrowed forms and built others from character parts. For centuries it carried songs, stories, ritual texts, notes, and contracts. Its beginnings are debated: some trace them before the Tang; a common dating puts the script’s formation in the Tang dynasty (618–907). It developed gradually. The 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary records this form. The modern Standard Zhuang alphabet was introduced in 1957 and uses Latin letters.

1Why does 𮛋 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
