What 𮡻 means
It names unworked precious metal. The Tang Buddhist dictionary Yiqie jing yin yi (788–810) glosses 金𮡻 as gold or silver before it is shaped into an object.
下音定 is the sound clue: it tells you to read 𮡻 like 定. In the Yuan History, 𮡻 follows a silver total as a counting word.
The University of Tokyo’s SAT project traces it to the Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō, a Buddhist scripture collection printed in 1924–1934. SAT proposed it during the 2012–2015 Unicode Extension F work so digitized scripture could be searched as text, not just shown as glyph images.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
