What does 𮣆 mean in Hanja?
A Korean Hanja dictionary links it to 鞴. Hanja are Chinese characters used in Korean.
Chinese dictionaries give 鞴 a bellows sense: a leather bag that blows air into a fire. They also record a horse-tacking sense: fitting a horse with a saddle and gear.
Why does the Unicode chart show 㪺?
The chart and the page use different glyph drawings. Unicode 18.0's Extension F chart shows 㪺 beside the Korean source identifier KC-06858; Hanazono Mincho C draws the same encoded character as 𮣆. Unicode treats a character's identity separately from its font glyph, so a reference chart and your font can show different forms.
Questions people ask
1Why does 𮣆 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
