What 𮦗 means
It writes the Standard Zhuang word mbwn, “sky.” Zhuang is a Tai language. The 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary lists 𮦗 as form five under the mbwn entry.
How old is Sawndip?
The writing system is attested by a 682 inscription. The Guangxi cliff inscription is the earliest known example; it dates Sawndip, not this exact form. Sawndip adapts Chinese characters to record Zhuang. A 2013 Guangxi account documents local manuscripts of songs, ritual texts, stories and contracts. A Zhuang alphabet appeared in 1957; a 1982 reform made it entirely Latin.
