Han character 𮦸

6921/7473

𮦸 is a written variant of 靉, a character for thick clouds. A poem from the Jin dynasty uses 靉靆 for morning clouds; a text from the Ming dynasty also uses it for eyeglasses. This reverse layout puts 愛 left of 雲 in military officer 艾靉’s name on a 1946 signature and 1964 diploma. The older 靉 is listed in Guangyun, a Chinese rhyme dictionary from the Song dynasty.

Why does 𮦸 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
