What 𮨍 means
It is another written form of 穎, not a new word.
In ancient Chinese oracle-bone writing—inscriptions on bone and turtle shell—early forms of 穎 are read as a grain stalk with multiple ears. Its literal sense is the stalk or pointed end of a grain. Mandarin reads 穎 as yǐng; Japanese as ei, Korean as yeong, and its Vietnamese Hán-Việt reading is dĩnh.
In later Chinese writing, 穎 also came to praise standout talent. The idiom 錐處囊中,穎脫而出 pictures an awl’s point pushing through its bag: ability that cannot stay hidden.

1Why does 𮨍 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
