What 𮩞 means
It is the simplified Chinese variant of 饐.
The older form combines a food component with one hinting at sound. In the Analects, 饐 pairs with 餲, meaning food whose smell or taste has changed, in a list of things not to eat. Shuowen Jiezi, an early character dictionary, defines it as rice harmed by damp.
