𮫁 is a Chinese character recorded in the Taishō Shinshū Daizōkyō, a Japanese-published collection of Buddhist scriptures and commentaries from India, China, and Japan (1924–1934). Its separate code lets digital editions preserve the exact printed form.

What 𮫁 means

Digital editions needed a way to preserve the printed form.

During digitization, researchers found characters their computers could not represent and used component strings or black squares. In 2017, Unicode added more than 2,800 characters from the collection, including 𮫁. That date marks its digital encoding, not the first appearance of its written form.
