Proposed form of 魯

𮫲 is best read as a proposed handwritten form of 魯 (simplified 鲁). Ancient inscriptions on oracle bones (bones used in rituals to seek answers) and bronze objects use 魯 as a place name and for praise; it later names Lu, an ancient Zhou state. In Chinese, 魯 is also a surname and shorthand for Shandong Province; dictionaries record “slow-witted.”

What 𮫲 means

A 2017 submission argues that the top strokes come from handwritten 魯.

The submitter says 魯’s first two strokes spread apart and the first flipped direction. The proposal recommends treating 𮫲 as a written variant; ordinary Chinese uses 魯 (traditional) or 鲁 (simplified).
