To support Chinese public-service databases. In 2023, the Unicode Consortium added 622 CJK ideographs described as urgently needed for public-service databases in China. This character’s Unihan source tag, GIDC23-206, identifies China’s Ministry of Public Security ID system as its source. The tag establishes provenance, not an individual reading or dictionary definition.
