What 𮷟 means

Its source form is 迯, a historical variant of 逃. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education variant dictionary says 迯 has the same meaning as 逃, “to flee,” and was formed from 辶, the movement component, plus 外 (“outside”). A Jin-era dictionary, 《四聲篇海》, supplies an early record of 迯; later examples appear in Song and Yuan vernacular novels and plays.

In the 2023 source set, this entry is linked to China’s Ministry of Public Security ID system. The broader collection supplied rare written forms needed for names in identity checks and official records.

Why does 𮷟 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
