What means
Its meanings depend on the historical source. The earliest evidence for 鋿 is its use in an inscription on a bronze bell catalogued as 莒叔之仲子平鐘, where it describes yellow-red metal. The Yupian, an early Chinese character dictionary, records “to grind”; the Guangyun records an iron band around a wheel. A Ming dynasty prince’s name, 朱彌鋿, also includes 鋿.

Questions people ask
1Why does show as a box on some devices?
It is recent: Unicode added it in version 15.1 (2023), and phones and computers whose fonts are older than that have nothing to draw it with. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
