What 𰀡 means
It is a variant form of 臤 used in simplified 紧.
Simplified 紧 writes 𰀡 above 糸 (“silk/thread”); traditional 緊 (“tight”) keeps 臤 in that position.
The older 臤 appears in oracle-bone inscriptions, carved on animal bones and turtle shells, and on bronze vessels. The bone texts survive in fragments, so their use is unclear. One reading sees a hand taking an object in the early shape. Bronze inscriptions later use 臤 for 賢 (“worthy”), while an early Chinese dictionary glosses it as “firm.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 𰀡 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
