What 𰑚 means
Sawndip adapts Chinese-character forms to write Zhuang. Writers borrowed and reshaped characters and their parts, alongside locally created forms, to represent Zhuang words and sounds.
In a 2013 account, linguist Huang Nanjin identifies a stone inscription at Shanglin, dated 682 CE, as the oldest surviving Sawndip example; that date is for the writing system, not 𰑚. Sawndip texts include ritual books, folk songs, stories, contracts and other local manuscripts.
The Unicode source tag GZ-0552302 locates 𰑚 at page 55, column 2, entry 3, form 02 in the dictionary.
