What 𰛎 means
In Old Zhuang, fou means “rub and wash.”
Old Zhuang is a traditional character-based way of writing the Zhuang language. In the 1989 Ancient Zhuang Character Dictionary (《古壮字字典》), this glyph is listed with that reading and gloss. The date belongs to the cited book, not to the character’s origin.
A separate Mandarin dictionary entry reads it fū (ㄈㄨ) and notes that the glyph appears in personal names in Taiwan. That is a name-context entry, not a second meaning for the Zhuang verb.
Questions people ask
1Why does 𰛎 show as a box?
Your font or app may not have a glyph for it; the encoded character is still 𰛎. A box or blank space is a missing-glyph fallback, not a different character. Use a font with CJK Extension G coverage to display its form.
