What 𰛑 means
It can represent 泞 or 演, depending on the source.
Older Chinese lexicons link the shape to 泞 (zhù), whose classical Chinese senses include still or clear water. A Qing county gazetteer—an official local history—uses 𰛑 in a passage about water lying stagnant.
China’s second-round 二简字 proposal uses 𰛑 as a short form of 演, including in 𰛑出 for 演出 (“perform”). It aimed to reduce writing effort, but the proposal was withdrawn; 演 remains the ordinary modern form.

1Why does 𰛑 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
