What 𰤎 means
Chinese character references list 𰤎 as a variant of 發.
The oldest known form of 發 appears in oracle-bone writing around 1250–1000 BCE. These divination records were carved on animal bones and turtle shells in late Shang China; the character shows a bow firing an arrow.
Later forms add a hand, which eventually serves as a pronunciation clue.
A box means the glyph is missing
A font without its glyph may show a box; the text still contains 𰤎.
