What 𰩉 means
A Qing character dictionary records it in 1874. Its entry identifies 𰩉 as a variant of 窈. The old Chinese character dictionary Shuowen Jiezi glosses 窈 as “remote.” In the Book of Songs, an early Chinese poetry collection, 窈窕 describes a woman’s grace; later classical writing also uses it for deep, secluded places. These uses belong to the established word, not to a separate meaning for 𰩉.
